The new version solves the problem in scanning bar codes.

I love the minimalist simplicity of this app (in combination with the full-featured website). I was looking for an app that would primarily allow me to scan, while also offering a category for books Ive read but no longer own. I also appreciate that review and sharing options are available, but not in my face. Top of my wishlist for a future iteration: support entry of tags in the app too. Greatly appreciate the free installation in the start-up month.

Great to have access from my phone, tried adding a couple of books without issue, and catalog functionality seems ok (would be nice if bar code scanner could be silenced.) But the UI (basic list with bottom toolbar) seems like its five years old already. Would be nice to see something more creative!

Love the bar-code scanning and the ability to review my catalogue while browsing book sales – no more buying books I already own! Youre the best, LT!!!

Ive been dreaming of this app for years! Now I can easily access my library on the go, very useful when shopping at my fave used book store :) The barcode scan function is great for quickly adding new books. Thank you librarything! A long-time user.

Been waiting for this for years and it doesnt disappoint. Super easy to add books with barcode scan or add a new cover image using the camera.

I have been a LibraryThing member for several years. This app is very helpful and easy to use. I recommend it highly!

After downloading and trying multiple cataloguing apps, this was the one that worked me! The scanning function is the best one Ive tried; there was only 1 out of 60 books it couldnt find. I didnt have to "upgrade to premium" after a couple of books scanned, didnt have to search manually for results (even some in spanish), the app doesnt crash constantly, simple to use... Definitely would recommend :)

I collect antique cookbooks so they are not easy to find. This app finds 95% of them! It is truly fantastic!

As a professional librarian, I set Library Thing up for a small local library at which I am not an employee. Were still testing. It was the best app found for the job so far. However, I would be happier if the app could do more of the things you can do through the full LT website. The employees arent as web or library savvy as I. Also, the barcode scanner does not always work on the phone or iPad. Not sure why. It would be much more convenient if the scanner *always* worked. But still testing.

I have a large library at home and like to catalog my books and books Id like to buy. This app and website has been the best Ive used by far. Its very easy to use and I love the fact that it will import just about everything, including the cover art, into the detailed information. Also useful is the ability to select a image from another user for a book where the image didnt pop up. This has become my go to app for indexing my library and I highly recommend it to other bibliophiles.

Its so easy to scan books in, and it shows all the information about each book, including covers. My only issues are that it doesnt seem to work for single issue comics (which is fine, because i dont mind having another ap for that) and there doesnt seem to be an easy way to add books that wouldnt scan, and arent already in their system. I only have one or two books that i couldnt get in my catalogue, but i wish there were a way to list them myself.

Finally an iOS app for library thing is here. And being the first version it looks great right from the start!

The app is fantastic, great to have an easy way to add items to my collections via phone with barcode scanning!

I understand the app is new and free, so I dont expect it to be perfect. However, the bar code scanning function is terrible and theres no way to sort the list of books. These are basic functions that should be the least of issues with apps like this. I would pay for this app, but only after they improve it.

The long wait for this app is over and I love it!!!!!
