I am very excited that LT finally has an app - one technical issue that needs fixing - if you type anything in to search in the "all collections" section you get "no results". Results are returned from other section just not the "all collections" section. Otherwise its looking good!

Ive been waiting a long time for my LT collection to be represented by an icon on my iPhone. This is a happy day. I can see my books, add new books, edit, and read messages. There is room to make things better, but this app is off to a lovely start.

Im a longtime Librarything website user, and the new app is a great way to access and add books to your collection on the go. I look forward to using it at book sales ("hmm, so I already own this book?") and to catalog more of my personal library.

Ive been using LT for a long time, and I am beyond thrilled with this app. I downloaded just before a major book sale, and avoided more than a few duplicate buys! Its also very easy to add books using the app, as well as to edit information, which is very useful when traveling (because some of us stuff our suitcases with books instead of, or in addition to, tchotchkes).

Ive been a LibraryThing member since 2006, and am so happy they finally created this app! Shortly before the app was launched I took my books out of storage for inventory, and the app has been so helpful for the process. The book cover uploader is my favorite part, and has been so helpful for my foreign language books. It will also come in handy for future book buying, as I now can more easily access my catalog on my ipod/ipad.

No longer will I forget the name of that book I spotted at the store, or while talking to a friend on the train: bring up LT, add the title to my online wishlist, its there when I log in to my web account later to comment or search. And when I see that bargain at the yard sale, no worries I already bought it: a quick check of my library tells me if I own it, if I read it from the library (and forgot!), if its on my wishlist. Priceless! But actually, its free.

This powerful little app is a great addition to the LibraryThing program used by many public and private folks who are serious about their books and collections. I’ve used LibraryThing online for nine years and have logged over 1660 books from my personal library into the database. The app quickly loads and catalogs title, author, publisher, publication date and other essential data simply by scanning the ISBN code of a book. Reviews and conversations with other LT members from the app or online lends more interest in a particular book or genre. I highly recommend LibraryThing to fellow book lovers and give the iPhone app a huge thumbs UP!

This is a the official app for LibraryThing.com. The app works well. Keep a list of your books online with LT. With this app you can quickly search your books, easily add new books, see their latest news, and upload high quality cover images of your books. Their website does a lot more so you should look at that too.

As a long time member of LibraryThing, I rejoice at the intro of this app. It allows me to take my catalog of books wherever I go. It is easy and straightforward to use. Thanks so much

Great that you can add physical books by scanning barcodes (for those books that have them). There seems no easy way to add books from one’s iBooks or Kindle libraries other than laboriously typing the titles in. Not a bad version 1 app, but much more can be done.

I love the app!! I bookmarked my page so I can see if I own a book before I buy a duplicate. This makes it to much easier. Im so glad I bought a lifetime membership all those years back.

So great to be able to scan and add books directly to LibraryThing and not have to use a third-party app and then import. Right now the app interface is clean and the app seems to work perfectly. I hope that you keep the interface simple and clean and dont go adding to many other features to overcomplicate it. Great job LibraryThing!

I am so happy to see the LibraryThing app! I am sure it will come in so handy when I am at the bookstore looking at more books to buy! Perhaps someday I will give up my XL spreadsheet in favor of just the library thing app.

Im new to smart phones, but not new to LibraryThing. Im finding this app so much fun! Its quite easy to scan in books by their ISBN bar codes and terrific to be able to take pictures of book covers that cannot be uploaded from other sites. I know that this is a new and bare bones app, but its a great start for me!

Librarything is one of my favorite websites. It is an excellent place to catalog books, movies, and CDs. Ive been waiting for an app for years. They did not disappoint with this app. The app is sleek and very easy to use. The most important part of the app is the ability to scan your items into your library. My books are already catalogued but I have a large movie to catalog. I scanned over 500 movies in no time. This app is well worth the wait. I would have easily paid for it.

Scan a barcode, or enter a title, add a book to the inventory. Snap a photo of the cover if a good one isnt already there. Easy, fast, a great addition to the browser catalog version of library thing.

Just added a whole stack of books by scanning -- so quick and easy! Im a long-time LT user and delighted to finally have an app.
